Netherfield was the temporary home to the Bennet family in Pride and Predjudice. Bingley owns the house and this is an important detail to the novel because this estate was were Elizebeth and Darcy first meet. Without Netherfeild, Elizebeth and Darcy probably would have never crossed paths as closely as they did here.
