Bullsgap marks a change in my life because it represents the very small town that I grew up in until the start of middle school, and is a place that my entire family still holds near to our hearts. If someone else were researching this place, they'd find it through word of mouth, likely hearing of it only just then, but then could continue their research through news sources local to the town or on a Facebook page. This location shows how change occurs in rural towns because of the small yet necessary adjustments made to it over several years. Mapping Bullsgap shows that despite the changes that have happened, there hasn't been an over-shadowing of the traditions still rooted in this town. Instead, the advancements made help to better the community, like the addition of the first red-light in town or the name change from Heifer's Junction, without changing the small town aesthetic and significance to those who are from there. The changes that have happened in Bullsgap have mainly been logistic and functional. Keeping heart and charm at its focus, it remains a place I can still drive through and point out the exact same house I grew up in where my family before me stayed as well (see image below).
