The Dirty War: Leader

Type: Gallery Image | Not Vetted

Jorge Rafael Videla was originally the General Commander of the Argentinean military, but eventually grew concerned about his and his comrade's position in the power structure of the country. To maintain their positions, they initiated a coup and implemented a junta. This ultimately placed Videla in charge of the entire country for nearly five years, giving him all the power to enforce his will upon those with none.
