In this year, Marian writes some of her most crucial essays of her career: "Silly Novels by Lady Novelists" and "The Natural History of German Life." Marian is firmly set in the literary scene at this point, having written for The Leader and Westminster Review extensively for about a year. As an estalbished writer, Marian will be able to write her novels from a secure and established position.
