Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

Type: Gallery Image | Not Vetted

This picture is from the film "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children". Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children was originally a book by Ransom Riggs and was published in 2011. A film adaptation of the book was relaeased in 2016 and was directed by Tim Burton. This film follows the gothic genre, depicted monsters, ghosts, family secrets, romances, and heros and villians. It setting is dark and unusal, with a sense of imending doom and danger throughout the plot. There is also isolation and many children without families, which is consistent with historical gothic tropes.
