San Diego International Airport marks a change in my life because it represents a dive further into adulthood. If someone else were researching this place, they'd find more information on the official website for the airport- they are very thorough on there. This locationshiws a change in independence because, not only was San Diego the first place I ever traveled solo, but where I decided to end a relationship I had been in since I was sixteen years old. Mapping this place reveals how geography and personal history are intertwined because most people see the airport as just a means to an end, but I spent six hours waiting for my flight home to Texas pondering if that relationship was what I wanted for the rest of my life. Spoiler: it's not. And I have not been back to California, let alone San Diego, since.
