Gas Mask WW1

Historal Context- Gas Mask were used by soilders in the first World War to protect themselves from hazardous gases such as mustard gas. This was the first time in hisotry that hardardous gas was used as part of warfare.

Influence on Literary Work- Owen used a gas mask himself when he was a frontline soilder, and discusses the necessary of these mask in his literary work "Dule Et Decrum Est”.
