In London Labour and the London Poor edition:
Phase 1
Boy Crossing-Sweepers and Tumblers. (Volume 2) [as "High Park"]: "He used to go up to High Park, and then go round by the Hospital, and then turn up a yard, where all the men are who play for money [Tattersall’s]; and there he’d lose his money, or sometimes win,—but that wasn’t often. I remember he used to come home tipsy, and say he’d lost on this or that horse, naming wot one he’d laid on; and then mother would coax him to bed, and afterwards sit down and begin to cry."
The Sewerman. (Volume 3) [as "High Park," likely a mispronunciation of Hyde Park]: "Some parts of the shores I can find my way about better than I can up above. I could get in nigh here and come out at High Park; only the worst of it is, you’re always on the stoop. I never heerd talk of anybody losing theirselves in the shores, but a stranger might."
Phase 2
Of Street Piemen. (Volume 1)
Park Women, or those who frequent the Parks at night and other retired places. (Volume 4)
