St. Petersburg is known for its outstanding culture and architecture found within the city. St. Petersburg is known for being very cold because it is only 400 miles from Moscow and 7 degrees south of the arctic circle. In St. Petersburg there is an event called “White Nights” which lasts in the summer. White Nights is when daylight reaches up to 19 hours per day. During this time there are also festivals that take place in conservatories.
