WWI Death wagons

In World War I, they used wagons pulled by horses in. order to attempt to retrieve the deseased from the battle field. along with the deaths of many men, histories beleiev over 8 million horses died during those 4 years of war. this image only shows a small part of how gruesome these carriages were.
