"An Act for better regulating the Practice of Apothecaries throughout England and Wales" is the official name of an Act of Parliament designed to regulate the training of apothecaries as medical professionals. While the effectiveness of the act is debatable, it was the first step by Parliament to attempt and have some regulation or standards of training for medical men.
