Baker expedition to Equatoria
1869-73 are the inclusive years of Samuel Baker's expedition to establish Egyptian control of Equatoria. Baker led an army of Egyptian and Sudanese troops up the Nile to conquer the area around Lake Albert on behalf of the ruler of Egypt.
