Birth of Queen Victoria

Queen Victoria was born May 24, 1819. She was Queen of England from 1837 to 1901 and until Elizabeth II, was the longest-reigning monarch in England. Her reign was notable for witnessing the rise of Industrial power in England, and the development of an urban society. Queen Victoria did not support women's suffrage or higher education but ironically she was an avid reader and privileged experience education and culture.
