The Great Disappointment

Miller's final exact prediction before making his thoughts more private. After this day came and passed Miller's followers for the most part disbanded but most of them seemed to still beleive that the end was still near. Many of these people were later taken to insane asylums as there were seen to be delusional compared to others. However even with these set backs the Adventist theology, heavily inspired by Miller, paved the way for the creation of some new churches: Seven-day Adventists and Advent Christian Church, both of which are active churches today.
