Life of Mauro Codussi

Mauro Codussi was a famous Venetian Gothic architect who is famous for designing many churches and palaces. These works include the church of San Michele in Isola, the interior of the church of Santa Maria Formosa, and the staircase of San Giovanni Evangelista. Evidence suggests that he designed the structure of St. Mark's Clock Tower. For example, the decorations of the tower are less important to the Tower itself, which is a common trait for Codussi's works. This is an image of San Michele in Isola.
