Love & Friendship

At the age of 14, Austen wrote a work to share with her friends and family. Her circle of friends and family were very literate and were very responsive to her early work, allowing her to gain feedback and experience. Love and Friendship, or Love and Freindship [sic], is a burlesque of popular sentimental novels. It tells the story of two young girls who, with the power of friendship, embark on a series of fun adventures.
