The New Game of Human Life
On 14 July 1790, the London firms of John Wallis and Elizabeth Newbery together published The New Game of Human Life. This morally instructive race-game joined with and propelled an ongoing merger between the flourishing children’s educational market and innovations in publishing and print culture.
