Mansfield Park was published on January 1, 1814. This novel was written after a ten-year break by Austen in which she dealt with the death of her father and her move from Bath to Southampton. After finishing and publishing both Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice, she wrote Mansfield Park.
