Sewing Machine

The first practical widely used sewing machine was invented by Barthelemy Thimmonier in 1829. The sewing machines invented before either failed or needed a few adjustments done. Thimmonier finally created it perfectly. His machine sewed straight seams and he went off another model created before. After he created it he had an engineer who made the requisite drawings, submit a patent application. The patent was then issued in July of 1830. That same year he opened the first machine based clothing manufacturer company  in the world to create uniforms for the French Army. The invention of the sewing machine had a great impact in the Middlemarch society. It would now allow a greater production of clothing to be produced, meaning that clothing would become more cheaper for the women of Middlemarch to look beautiful.
