University of Dublin Tests Act (Fawcett’s Act)
The University of Dublin Tests Act abolished the Anglican test oath as a requirement for students (excepting those in the School of Divinity) at Dublin University and Trinity College. Put forward by economist Henry Fawcett (1833-1884), it is sometimes referred to as “Fawcett’s Act.” Image: Henry Fawcett.
