Description:
The French Revolution "was to open English eyes to the possibility of political change in their own country" (Black, et al. 53). This revolution took place in France and lasted 10 years. The people of France overruled the monarchy and ruled the government. Richard Price was a famous poet, preacher, and political thinker. He was considered a radical thinker when it came to the French Revolution and agreed with the American and French Revolutions and independence (Sandoz). In 1789 Price gave a sermon expressing his support for the French Revolution at the Meeting-House in the Old Jewry (Black, et al. 55).
