In 1816 Mary Shelley begun writing Frankestein while staying in Geneva with Percy, her sister Claire, Lord Byron, and others. While staying indoors because of the rain, Lord Byron suggested to have a writing competion about ghosts. Mary won the contest with her book Frankestein.
