In the winter of 1792, Jane Austen's sister, Cassandra, gets engaged to Rev. Tom Fowle. Jane was the younger sister to Cassandra, so this was very predictable for Cassandra to be married before Jane, but that did not make it easier for Jane. Jane and her sister were very close and were known to frequently write eachother. This "seperation" was not easy for either Jane nor Cassandra.
