Gaul is an ancient region in Europe that is located in modern day France, and part of Belgium. The Gauls are an ancient tribe that lived in an agricultural society. The Gauls are well-known for their land fueds with the Romans. There were a vicious series of back and forth attacks between the Romans and the Gauls, both wanting control over each other's land. In the aftermath of these attacks, Gaul stood to be an important area for Roman culture, and the Gauls long to preserve ancient Roman history. The Gauls were also of Celtic orgin, and held many cultural similarities with the Celtics of that time period.
