Peru

Peru is located on the western side of South America. The capital of Peru is Lima. Peru is most famously known for its historical site Machu Picchu. Thousands of people every year make the venture up the Andes Mountains to see this historical city. Peru is also known for producing a variety of fabrics for clothing (The Peruvian Textile). In the fabric industry, Peru is really well known for its knitted cotton garments and the volume of garnetts produced ("The Peruvian Textile"). This demand for Peru's garments can be seen in "The Royal Exchange". In the excerpt, the speaker notes that " The brocade Petticoat rises out of the mines of Peru"(Addison). While the speaker isn't specifically referencing the well-known cotton, he is speaking about one of the nicer silk fabrics that come out of Peru.
