Senedd Building, Cardiff (Real Wales)
The Senedd Building is home to the Welsh Parliament. It was opened by Queen Elizabeth II in March 2006 on St. David's Day, the holiday that celebrates the patron saint of Wales. It was designed with glass walls to represent the transparency of the Welsh parliament's work, as well as other local materials to make it an exemplar of sustainability.
In Real Wales, Finch refers to the building in the sentence, "The place where Dafydd Elis Thomas parks his car near the Senedd," as one in a list of many locations he knows in Wales that contribute to the country's complex image.
