Glasgow
Glasgow is a city in Scotland. It is Scotland's most populous city and the fourth most populous city in the United Kingdom. The city is also Scotland's largest seaport. It was one of Britain's main hubs of trade with North America and the West Indies during the 18th century and onward, making it an integral city for the growth of the British Empire.
Glasgow is refrenced in passing in Dorthy Wordsworth's Recollections of a Tour Made in Scotland, A.D. 1803. Wordsworth recalls, "About half-a-mile from the town a guide-post and two roads, to Edinburgh and Glasgow; we took the left-hand road, to Glasgow."
