Over these 4 photos we will talk about the emotions in grade school children and their competence. In more recent years I have found a bunch of articles and research of how the government and schools are implementing plans to teach children emotions and how to regulate them. We will see how over the past couple hundred years how children have evolved and their emotional intelligence.

This article goes into detail about how children should be seen and not heard. “I must not speak a useless word, For children should be seen, not heard.” This shows that at the table when children are home enjoying dinner they are not talk but just sit there and listen. This article is local from Honesdale, PA.

This is an article about a priest telling a child that it is okay to express their emotions and that they should express them. The child is unware of the emotion that he is feeling. This shows that he was not taught about this emotion.

There is an AD in the paper for a school play that guarantees that there is one laugh per minute. This shows the light heartiness of this school in Florida, and that emotions in school for children are evolving from needing to sit at a table and be seen and heard

The Laugh and Be Happy column shows that children are kind of unaware. They are very innocent but also want to make people laugh as well. When the boy said to his dad, “First you step on it. and I then you choke it.”
