Bergamo is the city in which I was born and I currently study. 

It is divided in two parts: the uppertown and the downtown and I live exactly in between. The uppertown is the more historical part, while the downton has more shopping to offer.

My favourite place to have gelato in the uppertown is "La Marianna". It is a confectionary shop and a restaurant in which the Stracciatella flavour was born! (If you're not familiar with it: it's cream with giant chocolate flakes). 

Finally, my favuorite place is probably La Rocca, a fourteenth century fortification that was also used during the two world wars ( and in which also the famous italian poet Quasimodo stayed) from which you can have a wonderful view of the uppertown while having picnic with your friends.
