John Wesley was a British preacher that created foundation for the Methodist movement. His preaching picked up speed during his Oxford days and created a group that called themselves the "Holy Club." His teachings would later go on to eventually break the Methodists from the English church as well as spark many revivals that spread throughout England. During a decline of faith, Wesley's preaching inspired many to either come back to or find their faith.
