Charing Cross
Charing Cross is a junction in central London, located on the north bank of the river Thames near Trafalgar Square and the Strand. It gives its name to the Charing Cross railway station. A bronze sculpture of King Charles I stands at Charing Cross. Since the early nineteenth century, Charing Cross has been considered London’s center.
