Horse Guards Parade is a parade ground located off Whitehall and opposite St. James’s Park in the West End of London. It is used for ceremonial parades such as Trooping the Color, which marks the British monarch’s official birthday. It was formerly the site of jousting tournaments during the time of Henry VIII.
