Toulouse
Toulouse is a city in southwestern France, located on the river Garonne. It is home to the University of Toulouse, founded in 1229, and to the twelfth-century Basilica of Saint-Sernin. In the fifth century, the city was the capital of the Visigothic Kingdom. It was the site of the Battle of Toulouse, one of the final battles of the Napoleonic Wars, in 1814.
