Zambia
Zambia is a south-central, landlocked African country. It was originally inhabited by the Khosian people until the arrival of Bantu-speaking populations in the thirteenth century. European colonizers arrived in the eighteenth century and fell under British control, becoming Northern Rhodesia in 1911. It gained independence in 1964. Copper mining and agriculture have long been a part of the country’s economy.
