The painting can relate to the French Revolution because the gaurd in the painting repersent the "love of his country". The Painting also relates to Willliam Wordswarth's poetry. Wordsworths style is more focused on common everyday situations.In the paintings you see people going on about their everyday life. If you read willams poem "Expostulation and reply" you could see that ecah person in te painting could relate to the poem.
