École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts

The <em>École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts</em> is a fine arts school located on the left bank of the river Seine in Paris, opposite the Louvre museum. It was established in 1648 as the <em>Académie de peinture et de sculpture</em> by artist Charles Le Brun. It was suppressed during the French Revolution but reinstated in the early nineteenth century.
