Abbotsford

Abbotsford is a historic country home in Scotland, particularly famous for being Sir Walter Scott’s home (author of Waverly and Ivanhoe). Abbotsford had many neo-Medieval features, and Scott collected notable furniture and armour, much of which had important connections to Scottish history. Though Scott’s descendants occupied the home until 2004, the home has been open to the public since 1833.
