The Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile is a monument constructed to commemorate victories and military leaders of the French Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars. The arc is located at the western end of the Avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris. The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, commemorating the First World War, is located beneath the arc.
