Barbados (A Modest Proposal)

Barbados is a small Caribbean island country in the Southeast Caribbean Sea. In the 17th century, the English ship William and John landed and settled on the island. Cash crops were central to the English-Barbados economy, with sugar cane being the most successful. The African slave trade brought many enslaved people to work the sugar plantations in Barbados.
