Bolton

Bolton is a town in the northwest of England, now a part of Greater Manchester. It had been a center for textile production since the fourteenth century, and it became a hub of textile manufacture in the Industrial Revolution. On 26 May 1644, it was the site of the Bolton Massacre, when the town was stormed by Royalist forces in the English Civil War.
