Brazil (Tupinamba people’s region)
The Tupinamba are a Brazialian indigenous group that have inhabited present-day Brazil since before it's Portuguese conquest. They fall under the larger Tupi ethnic group. it can be applied to the Tupinambá peoples who once inhabited the right shore of the São Francisco river in the Recôncavo Baiano and from the Cabo de São Tomé in Rio de Janeiro to the town of São Sebastião in São Paulo, which is the northern coast of Brazil.
"Prudence and Temperance: Of learning to Love our Country, wherein we differ even from Laplanders, and the Inhabitants of Topinamboo" In this quote from a Modest Proposal it seems Swift is saying Irishmen have not learned to love their country the way that Laplanders (northern Finland) and Tupinamba (Topinamboo) people have and that has detrimentally affected the Irish people.
