Buenos Aires
Buenos Aires is the capital of Argentina and is located along the Río de la Plata. It is an autonomous district rather than part of the Buenos Aires Province. Buenos Aires was established in 1536 by Pedro de Mendozza, and the city depended on trade. In 1806, the British invaded Buenos Aires but were defeated. Today, it is the most visited city in South America and has a thriving theatre culture.
