Calcutta Botanical Garden

Commonly known as the Calcutta Botanical Garden, the Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Indian Botanic Garden is situated in Shibpur, Howrah near Kolkata, India. The gardens were founded on 2 November 1786 by Colonel Robert Kyd of the British East India Company. Its most famous landmark is The Great Banyan.
