Chelsea

Known today for its affluence, Chelsea is an area in southwest London on the north bank of the river Thames. The affluent area is home to the Chelsea Arts Club, founded in 1891. It has been known for the Chelsea Cricket Club in the eighteenth century, its Chelsea Buns in the eighteen and nineteenth centuries, Chelsea China—England’s first porcelain workshop—until it moved to Derby in 1769, and the current Chelsea Football Club.
