Clapham

Clapham is a district in the modern borough of Lambeth and extending into the modern borough of Wandsworth in (London, England). From the 17th to the early 19th century, wealthy merchants built large country houses in the area of the common land Clapham Common (now a park). It is now a commuter suburb.
