The Duomo di Milano is the cathedral of Milan (the largest cathedral in Italy) and the seat of the Archbishop of Milan. Construction began in 1386 and took nearly six centuries to reach completion. On 26 May 1805 Napoleon crowned himself King of Italy in the cathedral.
