Earl's Court

Earl’s Court is a district in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea in central London, England. The area was mainly developed after the construction of the Metropolitan District Railway station in 1865–69, leading to the area becoming a densely populated suburb. Notable residents from Earl’s Court include archaeologist and Egyptologist Howard Carter, musician and composer Benjamin Britten, and filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock.
