Gulistan
Gulistan is a village in the Goranboy District of Azerbaijan. Between the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries, the seat of the Principality of Gulistan was located at the Fortress of Gulistan. The village is also the site of the signing of the Treaty of Gulistan in 1813. The Treaty was signed between the Russian Empire and Qajar Iran, and it recognized Russian rule over territories north of the Arax River.
