Hackney

Hackney is a district in London, England, which forms about two-thirds of the London Borough of Hackney. Parts of Hackney intersect with east London in the east and south, with the northwest belonging to north London. Notable residents of Hackney include theologian and chemist Joseph Priestley (1733–1804), Quaker and abolitionist Samuel Hoare Jr (1751–1825), and industrialist Samuel Courtauld (1793–1881).
