On 1 November 1819, simultaneous meetings were held, by prior agreement, at Newcastle, Carlisle, Leeds Halifax, Manchester, Bolton, Nottingham, Leicester, Coventry, and elsewhere in England and Scotland.
Halifax
Halifax is a town in West Yorkshire in the north of England. It is home to the fifteenth-century minster, an honorific title given English churches. From the fifteenth century, it was a hub of the wool trade, and when the town industrialized in the nineteenth century, textiles remained a key industry.
